Staying safe

The basics are below. For the warning signs and where to report a problem, see how to avoid scams.

• Meet in daylight, in a public place if you can, or bring someone with you.
• Never pay before you've seen the item, and never send money to hold something.
• Don't share codes sent to your phone. Nobody from PennySaver will ever ask for one.
• For free stuff, give a street and cross street, not your house number, until you've agreed a time.
• If something feels wrong, report the listing and walk away.
